Sprouts – Alfalfa

Description

Alfalfa sprouts are grown from the seed of the Alfalfa plant.  They produce thin white stems that grow to about 5-12 centimeters. Atop the stems are two leaves that range in various colors of yellow, brown and light to dark-green depending on light exposure. Alfalfa sprouts have a crunchy, crisp texture with a sweet nutty flavor.
